JSE Notifies Investors of Increase in Cess Charges Effective March 1, 2012

Shareholders of public listed Companies on the Jamaica Stock Exchange are asked to note that effective March 1, 2012 Cess levied on transactions across the floor of the Exchange will be increased by 0. 0075%, that is 0.00375% on each side of a transaction.

The Cess charge that will therefore be reflected on Contract Notes issued by brokers for the purchase or sale of shares will be 0.2% on each side of a transaction effective March 1, 2012.
